Inverter as an important part of PV system, its main role is to convert direct current into alternating current that photovoltaic modules issued.At present, the common market of the inverter is divided into Centralized inverters and String inverters, as well as trendy Distributed inverter.
1.The centralized inverters
Centralized inverter as the name suggests is photovoltaic components will produce direct current summary into alternating current (ac) ,and then boosting and interconnection. Therefore, the inverter power is relatively large. Commonly used 500 kw or more Centralized inverter in photovoltaic power station.
2. String inverters
String inverter as the name suggests is the direct current generated by PV modules directly change into AC power and then boost and interconnection . Therefore, the inverter power are relatively small. 50kW PV plants generally use the following String inverters.
Distributed inverter is a new form of the past two years , the main feature is the "central inverter" and "distributed MPPT tracking." Distributed inverters are the products which gathered the advantages of both Centralized inverters and String inverters , to achieve a "low-cost of centralized inverter , high power output of string inverter type . "
